b'STORY TIMENO DONE BUTS0 S O K D O T U B E N 2 O N | O B M I R 21 S AY With just six weeks lefts until the Sachse Construction team was scheduled to move-in to their new headquarters, Superintendent Bill Verbeek established the big picture milestones. Each milestone included planning, constant communication, gathering trade partner input, re-working the plans, and finally, execution. One of these milestones was the reception and installation of the modern light fixtures near the elevator lobby. Upon arrival, the drivers were not in a base mount. Instead, they were remote mounting fixtures; an unexpected new technology that the team had not planned for.Bill worked diligently alongside the teams electrician to figure out why the fixtures were sent without a base mounting box that would hide the drivers. It quickly became apparent the lighting supplier would not be able to send the base mountings in time. With little time to pivot, Bill established the minimum size base required for each set of lights and then worked alongside a trusted millwork trade partner to construct custom boxes that would conceal the drivers and wiring, match the finishes throughout the lobby area, and meet the desired schedule.Determined to button up the new HQ before the arrival of his fellow team members, Bills quick action allowed the team to easily navigate challenges resulting in a stunning new office space that was anything but a done, but. 68'
